Huangpu is a sparkling pearl on the bayou of the Pearl River. It has a long history and it is the start point of the Silk Road on the Sea. It gained its fame in and outside China for the Huangpu Military Academy. There are a lot of natural and cultural scenic spots at Huangpu. Huangpu has its geographical advantage because it is located close to Hong Kong and Macao. There are a lot of overseas chinese who are originated from Huangpu. Huangpu Overseas Association is a bridge and bound between the Party, the government and the overseas chinese and Hong Kong, Macao compatriots. The Association aims at providing services, protecting the rights, reviewing opinions, strengthening the ties, enhancing the relations between Huangpu people and overseas chinese, bettering the communication and cooperation in all areas, agglomerating the heart of overseas chinese, consolidating the wisdom of the overseas chinese to build a better Huangpu.
